COVID-19

At Stratton-Karsteter Funeral home, we remain committed to the health and safety of the families we serve, our employees, and our community. Even prior to the coronavirus pandemic, the safety and well-being of you, your family, and your friends has always been of the utmost importance. Our protocols continue to cover handwashing hygiene, cleaning product specifications, and common area cleaning procedures which are all in line with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. We will continue to maintain these health standards.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will follow the guidelines established by the Governor’s Office, the State Department of Public Health & Environment, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and the Ripley County Health Department about COVID-19.  These guidelines have impacted the size of public gathering a family is able to plan.

Please make an extra effort to support ones who have lost a loved one during this unusual time.  Your support is extremely important to these families. Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home will begin a program entitled “Hugs from Home.”  This program will allow friends and families of the deceased who may not be able to attend a funeral, to call the funeral home and our staff will complete a “Hugs from Home” card to present to the family.  This card simply offers your condolences to the family. Condolences may also be offered to families via our website obituary page or Facebook page.

Livestreaming our services will also be available to our families.  This service will allow an unlimited number of persons to view a service.  The service will be available through the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home Facebook page.

Once the ban on public gatherings has been lifted we will be offering families, whom we served during this health pandemic, the opportunity to utilize our facilities and staff for a memorial service at no cost.

At Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, we realize these are unsettling times.  Our prayers go out to those affected by COVID-19. We extend our appreciation to the health care community for their continued services.  We are committed to responsibly responding to the needs of the communities we are privileged to serve. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 812.689.1171, via our website at skfuneralhome.com, or  through the Stratton-Karsteter Facebook page.
