James R. “Randy” Gordon, 63, of Osgood passed away at 3:45 p.m.,
Wednesday,
July 30, 2025 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was
born in
Madison on December 5, 1961, the son of Tim and Karen Mills
Gordon. Survivors
include his mother Karen Dickerson of Osgood; three sons Ryan
(Kay Adams)
Gordon, Nathaniel Gordon, and Nicholas (Mikayla Law) Gordon all
of Osgood; grandchildren
Evan, Lyla, and Holland; one brother Russell Gordon of
Versailles. He was
preceded in death by his father, his brother JR, and his sister
Dana Dickerson.
Mr. Gordon was a 1980 graduate of South Ripley High School and
he also attended
the Southeast Career Center. He worked as a computer programmer
for the
Batesville Casket Company and had also managed Kiel Brothers Oil
Company stores
in Versailles and Madison. Randy was an accomplished guitarist
and loved muscle
cars, especially the ones that were loud and fast. Randy was a
member of the
Osgood Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on
Monday, August 4 at
12 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles
with Bro. Earl
Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery.
Visitation will also
be on Monday beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials may be given to the
Shelby Cemetery
or the Osgood Church of Christ in care of the funeral home
