Larry J. Hosmer, 65, of Versailles
passed away
Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in
Madison. He was born
in Leesville, Louisiana on October 19, 1958, the son of and
Lucille Haggard
Hosmer. He was married to Teresa Back and she survives. Other
survivors include
his mother Lucille Hosmer of Delaware; two daughters Michelle
(Mark) Cutter of
Versailles and Rachel (Jason) Edwards of Holton; five
grandchildren Morgan and
Megan Cutter, and DJ, Garrett, and Gracie Edwards; one brother
David Hosmer of
Delaware. He was preceded in death by his father. Larry attended
Jac-Cen-Del High
School and began his working career at an early age. Through the
years he had
employment with Thomas & Skinner in Osgood, Gecom, Advanced
Engineering,
and Bonn Aluminum in Greensburg, General Electric in Avondale,
Ohio, and had
worked for the last ten years as a toolmaker with Arvin-Sango in
Madison. Larry’s
hobbies included reading and playing the guitar, a hobby he had
also taught his
grandchildren to enjoy. He was an accomplished photographer,
photographing
weddings, but especially enjoyed taking pictures of the outdoors
and nature. Funeral
services will be held on Friday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at the
Stratton-Karsteter
Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation will also be on Friday
beginning at 11
a.m. Memorials may be given to the Bear Creek Baptist Church or
the Delaware
Fire Department in care of the funeral home. |
