Abigail "Abbey" Lane Jones

**Abigail "Abbey" Lane Jones, 19, of Versailles** passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis along with her daughter Adalynn Grace Michelle Jones, who passed away May 17, 2023. Abbey was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on May 5, 2004, and Adalynn was born April 29, 2023 in Batesville. Abbey is the daughter of Michelle McLaughlin of Versailles and Andrew Jones of Delmar, Delaware. Her survivors include her parents, four sisters; Andra Jones of Versailles, Julia McDowell of Milton, Kentucky, Kyndal Tackett and Savannah Jones both of Hanover; maternal grandparents Dennis and Barb McLaughlin of Versailles, and paternal grandmother Norine Harrington of Madison; great grandmother Imogene McLaughlin of Greendale; two aunts; April (James) Meyer and Lindsey Brown; one uncle, Norman Jones, and many great aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Andrew and niece Annie Lane. Ms. Jones was a 2022 graduate of South Ripley High School and was an employee of Subway in Versailles. Her life centered around her family and listening to country music. Funeral services for Abbey and Adalynn will be held at Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles on Friday, May 19 at 11a.m. with Bro. Tom Holt officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Baptist Church Cemetery at Elrod. Visitation will also be on Friday from 9a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be given to the Donor's Choice in care of the funeral home.
