Ada Morris, 68, of Versailles
passed away Thursday,
August 25, 2005 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born at
Dillsboro on September 12, 1936 the daughter of Hubert and Ethel Kohlerman
Mathias. She was married to Kenneth Morris on December 22, 1957 and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother Mrs. Ethel Mathias of Versailles; one son
Philip Morris of Pikeville, Tennessee; two daughters Elizabeth Ann Saffran of
Chersterton, Indiana and Catherine Hamm of Batesville; nine grandchildren and
one great grandchild; one brother Donald Mathias of Dillsboro. Mrs. Morris was a
1954 graduate of Dillsboro High School and a 1958 graduate of Ball State
University. She was a home economics teacher in Chicago Heights for several
years. She was a member of the Tyson United Methodist Church and the Ross Run
Chapter of the DAR. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 28
at 2pm at the Tyson United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Hendrix
officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday,
August 27
from 6pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in
Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Tyson United Methodist Church in care
of the funeral home.
