**Amelia Lily Holman**, 92, of New Marion passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003 at her residence. She was born in the West Fork community on December 24, 1910 the daughter of Harry and Myrtie Shepard Geisler. She was married to Truman Holman on April 11, 1936 and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1994. Mrs. Holman was a homemaker and a member of the West Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Lester Holman and his wife Renea of Madison, Harry and Bernadette Holman of New Marion, Roy and Vickie Holman of Versailles; four daughters, Dina Herbert and her husband Vernon of Millhousen, Darlene Holman of New Marion, Myrtie Franklin and her husband Frank of the Hopewell community, and Brenda Holman of Greensburg; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alta Asche of North Vernon, Freda Ellis and Delta Little, both of Madison. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Alva Geisler, Lester Geisler, and Leslie Geisler, one grandson, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 26 at 11am at the West Fork Baptist Church near Rexville. Visitation will be Sunday, May from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church or cemetery.
