Andrew J. Heath, 85, died on January 12, 2007, at Odd Fellows Home, Greensburg, IN. Mr. Heath was born in Switzerland Co. (near Cross Plains, IN) on 11/01/21 and the son of Harold and Elsie (Haskell) Heath who preceded him in death. He was a WWII veteran, where he served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of Salem Christian Church, Cross Plains, and attended Cross Plains Baptist Church for over 20 years. He was also a member of The American Legion Post in Versailles, IN. He farmed most of his life and worked at Rexnord, Madison, IN., Ripley County Highway Department and for the Town of Versailles. He was married to Mary K. Marsh on June 25, 1943. They had four children: Patricia Mae, Jerry Wayne, Michael Andrew and Donna Sue. On August 27, 1977, he married Phyllis Elizabeth Henderson who preceded him in death on March 30, 2002. He is survived by son, Jerry Wayne Heath (wife Beverly) of Versailles, IN., and daughter Donna S. (Susi) Dean (husband Larry) of Batesville, IN. Daughter, Patricia Mae, preceded him in death in 1948 and son Michael Andrew preceded him in death in 2005. Sisters, Robena Searcy (husband Bob) Lee FL., Marjorie Cunningham, Middleburg, FL., brother, Gene Heath (wife, Alice) also survive. Brother, Ralph Heath, preceded him in death in 1979. Other survivors include grandchildren: Angela Dribusch, (Steve), Amy Hughes, (Wade), Alan Heath, (April) and Jesika Dean. Also eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. and the funeral on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Stratton - Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles, IN. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Decatur (or county of donor's choice) or Cross Plains Baptist Church.
