Ann Peaslee, 74, of Versailles passed away at 1:10am Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 7, 1941 the daughter of Lowry and Anna Mae McCarty Hancock. She was married to Virgil Peaslee on June 18, 1958 and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1998. Survivors include two sons Jeff (Martha) Peaslee of Versailles, and Greg Peaslee of Seymour; one daughter Paula (Robert) Kress of Westport; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; one brother Jim (Donita) Hancock of Chelsea. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter-in-law Karen Peaslee. Mrs. Peaslee attended the Saluda High School in Jefferson County. She had worked as an attendant at the former Mucsatatuck State Hospital in Butlerville and also as a CNA at the Decatur Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She had also driven for Classic Medic Cab in Greensburg and was an advertising consultant for WYGS radio in Columbus. Ann was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon Church in Dillsboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Charles Hill of the Cedars of Lebanon officiating. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
