Anna Libunao,
81, of Versailles
passed away at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 30,
2025 at the
Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at
Gradyville in Adair
County, Kentucky on August 18, 1943, the daughter of Rev. John
and Lora Bolt
Bassett. She was married to Dr. A. S. Libunao and he preceded
her in death on
March 13, 1998. Survivors include four step-sons Arte (Mischel)
Libunao of
Richmond, David Libunao of San Francisco, Brian Libunao of
Columbus, and Shane
(Lora) Libunao of Hanover; three step-daughters Cil Yocum and
Lee Ellen Libunao
both of Versailles, and Gigi (Keith) Massa of Columbus, Ohio; 10
step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; one
brother Ron
(Molly) Bassett of Palm Harbor, Florida; one sister Rita
Hartwell of Osgood.
She was also preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Libunao was
a 1961 graduate
of Providence (Nicholasville, Ky.) High School. She received her
Bachelor Degree
in education from Kentucky Wesleyan University and her Masters
Degree from the
University of Louisville. She had taught in Louisville and spent
several years
as a Special Education teacher in the South Ripley Schools.
Graveside services
will be held on Monday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at the Cliff Hill
Cemetery in
Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery in
care of the
Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
