Aubrey "Howard" Souder

Aubrey "Howard" Souder, 78, of New Marion passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. He was born in Corinth, Kentucky on October 29, 1934 the son of Aubrey and Grace Howard Souder. He was married to Dolores Meisberger on December 8, 1988 and she survives. Other survivors include three sons Robert (Terri) Souder of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Richard (Tammy) Souder, and Rodney (Pam) Souder both of Paducah, Kentucky; one daughter Patty (Dale) Grimm also of Paducah; step-daughter Regina Allison of New Marion; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Wanda and Lois. Mr. Souder worked for many years as a sales representative for HH Gregg in Indianapolis. He served in the US Navy from 1953 to 1957 and received the Good Conduct Medal. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17 at 10am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Cemetery at Madison with full military honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
