Barbara J. (Babe) Clift

Barbara J. (Babe) Clift, 75, of Holton passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born October 2, 1937 at North Bend, Ohio the daughter of Clarence and Faye Vest Loos. She was married to Ernest Clift on March 19, 1954 and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2004. Survivors include two sons Ernest Jr. (Tina) Clift of Holton and Ben (Camilla) Clift of Columbus; five daughters Rita Seaver of Moores Hill, Sheila (Harris) Osoffsky of Louisville, Tammy (Richard) Pickett of Versailles, Kathy (Sonny) Tanner of Greenwood, and Molly Manis of Milan; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister Anna Lee Renfro of Hamilton, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother William Mercer. Mrs. Clift was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, reading, her animals, and cooking. She also enjoyed her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19 at 12:30pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Paul Wenning officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 10am. Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation or Rescue 69 in care of the funeral home.
