Barbara Wall

**Barbara Wall, 77, of Versailles** passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at her home. She was born at Portsmouth, Ohio on January 31, 1932 the daughter of Tom and Lucille Lamb Turner. She was married to Bobby Wall on December 24, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2001. Survivors include one son Chris (Sandy) Wall of Versailles; four daughters Jennifer (Pat) Moody and Holly (Mike) Cheek both of Versailles, and Martha Wall and Marlene Stanton both of Milan; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one brother Donald (Patty) Turner of Land Between the Lakes, Tennessee. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sons Richard and Scott, her grandson Joshua Wall, and one great-grandson. Mrs. Wall was a 1950 graduate of Dixie Heights High School where she was her class valedictorian. She attended Eastern Kentucky University and had taught school in Kentucky and locally at New Marion. Mrs. Wall was a member of the Versailles Church of Christ and served on the board of the Little Blessings Pre-School. Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at the Versailles Church of Christ with Dale Day officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral. Burial will be private at the New Marion Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the building fund of the Versailles Church of Christ or to the Hospice of Margaret Mary Community Hospital in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
