**Bernice Palmer**, 88, of Holton passed away Friday, March 30, 2007 at the South Central Indiana Hospice in Columbus. She was born near Holton on September 6, 1918 the daughter of James and Susie Bliton Beach. She was married to Lowell Palmer and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1972. Survivors include three daughters, Alma Addison of Cleves, Ohio, Leta Palmer of Holton, and Brenda Luke and her husband Dennis of Dabney; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughters Rita Allen and Glenna Land, brothers Melvin, Henry, and Wilbur Beach, and her sisters Madge Schlotman, Edna Rose, and Thelma Bostic. Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker and a member of the Dabney Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4 at 11am at the Dabney Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until 11am Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Dabney Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
