Betty Jean Brown

**Betty Jean Brown**, 74, of Osgood passed away at 6:20pm Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at Edmondton in Metcalf County, Kentucky on February 2, 1941 the daughter of James and Evelyn Jessee Brown. Survivors include one sister Becky (Ron) Sutton of New Marion; two brothers J. C. (Caroline) Brown, and Sam (Debbie) Brown both of Osgood. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bobby Joe Brown, and her sister Suzette Brown. Betty Jean attended the Sandcreek School in Decatur County and she was a big fan of Elvis. She enjoyed her computer games and also playing bingo. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Michael Miller of the Cedar Creek Community Church officiating. Burial will be in the New Marion Cemetery. Visitation will also be Monday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
