Betty J. Shirk

**Betty J. Shirk**, 79, of Versailles, Indiana, formerly of Harveysburg, Ohio and Waynesville, Ohio passed away at 10:55pm Monday, June 1, 2015 at the home of her daughter near Holton. She was born near South Charleston, Ohio on June 10, 1935 the daughter of Robert and Marie Harrison Hamilton. Survivors include one son Paul (Debbie) Elam of Carthage, Indiana; one daughter Paula (Regina) Richie of Holton; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one sister Norma Lewis of Waynesville, Ohio. Mrs. Shirk was a former employee of the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles in charge of arrangements.
