Betty Skelton

**Betty Skelton, 82, of Versailles** passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at Napoleon on August 7, 1928 the daughter of Oral and Hilda Schneley Miller. She was married to Robert Hoeferkamp on July 30, 1947 and he preceded her in death on January 26, 1983. She was married to Thomas Skelton on August 27, 1984 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2008. Survivors include one son David (Lisa) Hoeferkamp of Mishawaka; 4 grandchildren; daughter-in-law Debbie Hoeferkamp of New Marion; sister-in-law Ann Miller of Osgood. She was also preceded in death by her son Dennis Hoeferkamp and her brothers Jack Miller and Charles R. Miller. Mrs. Skelton was a 1946 graduate of Versailles High School. She had worked for 25 years at Muscatatuck as an attendant and secretary. Betty was a member of the Versailles Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6 at 11am at the Versailles Church of Christ with Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday at the church from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Church of Christ in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
