**Bill Moore, Sr., 82,** of Holton passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Hollow Number 5 in Breathitt County, Kentucky on August 18, 1932 the son of Frank and Laura Watkins Moore. He was married to Dorothy Jean Frieszell on July 1, 1955 and she preceded him in death on September 16, 1982. Survivors include three sons Bill (Janelle) Moore, Jr. of Versailles, Daniel "Boone" Moore of North Vernon, and Shawn (Krysta) Moore of Holton; ten daughters Laura (Ron) Prosser, Mary Sizemore, and Kimberly Hoover all of Versailles, Frances McRoberts and Crystal Gresham both of North Vernon, Sharon Roark of Cleveland, Tennessee, Jennifer (David) Pennycuff and Cherry (Wayne) Pyatt both of Butlerville, Sherry Lloyd of Connersville, and Chantal (Jamie) Aparicio Enriquez of Seymour; 42 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; one brother George (Sydney) Moore, Sr. of West Virginia; one sister Phyllis Hardy of Seymour. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his son Frank Moore, daughter Becky White, his brothers Sewell, Robert, Johnny, Elmer, and Raymond Moore, and his sisters Sara Ann Sharp, Emma Cunningham, Frances Hollon, and Bertha Moore. Mr. Moore was a retired farmer and had also worked for Triad Steel in North Vernon. He also had owned and operated Moore's Service Station in Holton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Kenneth Johnson of the North Vernon Church of God officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden near Madison. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Greg Prosser Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
