Billie J. Palmer

Billie J. Palmer, 72, of Osgood passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Heritage House in Batesville. She was born at Nashville, Tennessee on December 2, 1933 the daughter of Orville and Willie Cecile Holly Goad. She was married to Claude Palmer, Jr. on February 10, 1951 and he survives. Other survivors include three sons, Steve Palmer and his wife Dru of Winfield, Louisiana, Roy and Sharon Palmer of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Clifford and Angela Palmer of Westport; three daughters, Sharon Raines and her husband Herbert of Brookville, Norma Selby and her husband Ralph of Reeslsville, and Blanche Cox and her husband Frank of Osgood; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker. Funeral services will be Monday, May 22 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with her son Steve Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery at Osgood. Visitation will be Sunday from 6pm to 9pm. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
