Billy Gene Strunk

Billy Gene Strunk, 72, of Elrod passed away Sunday, October 03, 2004 at his residence. He was born at Winfield, Tennessee on August 28, 1932 the son of Beatty and Maud Goodman Strunk. He was married to Evelyn Cornett on July 12, 1956 and she survives. Other survivors include four sons: Charles Strunk, Ronald L. Strunk, Wayne Strunk all of Elrod, David Strunk and his wife Cindy of Versailles; four daughters, Wendy Bergman and her husband Steve of Milan, Joan Collins and her husband Dave of Osgood, Kathy Davidson and her husband Dale of West Harrison, and Sharon Haney and her husband Wade of Lawrenceburg; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; one brother Ronald D. Strunk of Milan and one sister-in-law Jaunita Strunk of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister. Mr. Strunk was an Air Force veteran and was a truck driver for Harrison Ready Mix. He was a member and co-founder of the Cavehill Church of God. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 5 at 11am at the Cavehill Church of God with Bro. Pearl Cornett officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery in Elrod. Visitation will be after 4pm Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to the church. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home of Versailles is in charge of the arrangements.
