Blaine Burchett

Blaine Burchett, 96, of O'Fallon, Illinois, formerly of Versailles, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Marka Nursing Home in Mascoutah, Illinois. He was born at West Liberty, Kentucky on March 5, 1912 the son of John and Louellen Combs Burchett. He was married to Edith Castle and she preceded him in death in 1981. Survivors include two sons Hezzie Burchett of Blanchester, Ohio and Bob Burchett of Florence, Alabama; two daughters Brenda Cornett and Janie Layson both of O'Fallon. Mr. Burchett was a self-employed carpenter. Visitation will be Friday at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with graveside services following at 12pm at the Tanglewood Cemetery.
