Blanche R.Copeland

Blanche R. Copeland, 65, of Madison passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born at Harrison, Ohio on February 23, 1939 the daughter of Benjamin and Pearl Mae Huneycutt Ballard. She was married to Francis Copeland on July 13, 1957 and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2001. Mrs. Copeland was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Madison. She is survived by one son, Jerry Copeland of Merritt Island, Florida; three daughters, Diane Greene and her husband Jeff of Henryville, Denise Hester and Michael of Gadsden, Alabama, and Debbie Greer and Paul of Madison; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Eva Mae Doerflein of Connersville, Bertha Edwards of North Bend, Dorothy Smith of Cincinnati, Delores DeNardis of Daytona, Florida, and Myrtle Weiskittel of Palm Coast, Florida; three brothers, Jack Ballard of Greendale, Robert Ballard of Michigan City, and Wilbur Ballard of Palm Coast, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30 at 12pm at the Cross Plains United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Almaroad of the Grace Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 29 from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 11am Tuesday until time of services at the church. Burial will be in the Cross Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the cemetery.
