Bonnie J. Walsh

Bonnie J. Walsh, 73, of Versailles passed away at 8:20am, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Rose Assisted Living Center in Carmel. She was born near Versailles on March 22, 1947 the daughter of Arthur and Blanch Hammon Ross. She was married to Dennis Walsh on June 12, 1965 and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2015. Survivors include one daughter Terri (Tim) Hunter of Carmel; her grandson Dylan; two sisters Margaret Gallenstein of Peoria, Arizona, and Mary Denny of Columbus. She was also preceded in death by her son Scott Walsh, her parents, her brother Bill Ross, and her sister Betty Lauber. Mrs. Walsh was a 1965 graduate of Holton High School. She worked for several years at the Napoleon State Bank in Holton and also at the Southeastern Indiana REMC in Osgood. Bonnie was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church where she participated in the ABWM and the music ministry. She was well known in the community for her beautiful singing voice. She also enjoyed embroidery, ceramics, crafts, knitting, and crocheting. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Luke Koors of the Hopewell Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the food pantry of the Hopewell Baptist Church in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
