Carol Sue Owens

**Carol Sue Owens**, 60, of Hanover passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville. She was born at Batesville on March 4, 1958 the daughter of George and Phyllis Tripp Furlow. She was married to Steven Owens on June 27, 1991 and he survives. Other survivors include two sons Christopher (Paula McConnell) George of Holton, and Chad George of Hanover; three grandchildren; two brothers Dennis Furlow and Tom Furlow both of Holton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Justin Dale George, and her brothers Gary Furlow and Larry Furlow. Mrs. Owens attended school at Holton and South Ripley. She was a former resident of Mitchell and worked in the deli at the Jay C Store there. Her and her husband Steve also operated produce stands in different areas. Carol's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will follow in the New Marion Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10am. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
