Carole Jeanne Forte, 52, of Bloomfield, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 at University Hospital in Louisville. She was the daughter of Rev. A.J. and Jeanne Doyle James. She was married to Geno Forte and he survives. Other survivors include her mother Jeanne James of Versailles; sister Mary Curtin and her husband Rev. John Curtin of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers Mike James of Bloomington and David James of South Bend; uncles David Doyle of Texas and Edgar Doyle of Ohio; aunts Louise Barrish of Arkansas, Stella Engelhardt of Versailles, and Beda Davish of Ohio. Mrs. Forte was a member of the Chaplin Fork Baptist Church and was a second grade teacher at Cox's Creek Elementary School. She received her graduate degrees from Georgia State and Bryan College and her Masters Degree from the University of Louisville. She was currently working on her Doctorate of Administrative Education. Mrs. Forte was recognized for two years in Who's Who of American Educators. She was also a gifted musician and singer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 24 at 11am at the Dabney Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9am until time of services at the church. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of the arrangements.
