Charles Michael (Mike) White

Charles Michael (Mike) White, 44, of Versailles passed away Friday, March 7 at his residence. He was born August 8, 1958 at Batesville. He is survived by his father, Frank Braley of Versailles, one brother Bruce Braley and his wife Nancy of Bedford, Pennsylvania; sisters Carla Stenger and her husband Peter and Alena White all of Versailles; his Godchild and niece Charity Barrett of Rexville and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Smith Braley. Mr. White was a 1976 graduate of South Ripley High School and was a member of the Tanglewood Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran and had served for nine years in the Indiana National Guard and was a bricklayer with Brewer Construction of Versailles. Visitation will be Sunday, March 9 from 4pm to 8pm at the Stratton Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 10 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. David Shivers of the Hopewell Baptist Church and Rev. Michael Hendrix of the Tyson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery with military honors by the Versailles American Legion. Memorials may be given to the Relay for Life or the Hospice of Jennings County.
