Charles L. Tingle,
73, of Dillsboro
passed away Friday,
May 26, 2017 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born
at Bethlehem in
Henry County, Kentucky on November 15, 1943 the son of Gilbert
and Leona Raisor
Tingle. He was married to Barbara Bryant on October 21, 2000
and she survives.
Other survivors include three sons Charles Tingle of
Lawrenceburg, Kentucky,
Jeff (Cindy) Tingle of Vevay, and Lonnie (Debbie) Tingle of
Lawrenceburg,
Indiana; three step-children Paul (Sid) Yorn of New Marion,
Scott (Liz) Benham
of Butlerville, and Brent (Katrina) Benham of Holton; 16
grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren; one sister Shelby (Benny) Garland of
Vevay. He was
preceded in death by his parents, his son Larry Tingle,
great-grandso Dylan
Jennings, brothers Earl and Donnie Tingle, and his sisters
Shirley Hewitt,
Leora Marsh, Wilma Romans, and Lois Taylor. Mr. Tingle
attended the Jefferson-Craig
School and also attended Vevay High School. Charles was a
former employee of US
Shoe in Madison and Osgood, was a farmer, and retired in 2008
from Seymour
Tubing. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31
at 11am
at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev.
Anthony Wilkes
officiating. Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery at Milan.
Visitation will be
Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's
Children's Hospital
or Rescue 30 in care of the funeral home.
