Charles "Chuck" William Clayton Jr.

Charles "Chuck" William Clayton Jr., 70, of Dillsboro passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on August 14th, 1941 the son of Charles Sr. and Velma Gilliam Clayton. Chuck married Karen McEwan in Stoughton Massachusetts on October 14, 1960 and she survives. Other survivors include his one son Jeff and Terri of Dillsboro, three grandchildren: Victoria "Tori", Christian, and Charles III "Trey", one sister: Charlotte "Clancy" (Phil) Eakes of Nashville Tennessee and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Clayton was a Navy Airplane Captain from 1959 – 1962, Versailles Christian Assembly in 1977, Founder and currently apostle for the Apostolic Resource Ministries/Versailles Community Church. Chuck was a member of South Ripley Ministerial Association, board member of the International Coalition of Apostles and he ministered nationally and internationally to churches. A Celebration Service with Dr. Bob Lemon will be held on Monday, December 5th at 7pm at the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship at Waldron. Memorials may be given to the South Ripley Ministerial Association (SRMA) in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
