Charlie Brinson, 68, of Versailles passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was born in Indianapolis on September 7, 1943 the son of Edwin and Lorraine Denny Brinson. He was married to Penny Newhart on September 28, 1962 and she survives. Other survivors include one son Tad (Marsha) Brinson of Olean; grandchildren Jacob, Kelsey, and Abigail Brinson. Mr. Brinson was a 1961 graduate of Versailles High School. He retired from Cummins in 1995 after 33 years working in Columbus and at Holset in Madison. Charlie and Penny owned and operated Totem Saddlery in Versailles for 25 years. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Memorials may be given to Rescue 69 in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
