Cindy Brooks

Cindy Brooks, 61, of Benham passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born in Indianapolis on August 18, 1952 and was married to Gary Brooks on January 31, 1987 and he survives. Other survivors include four daughters Jill (Rob) Winter, Melinda (Sam) Barthelow, and Autumn Anderson and her fiancé Randall all of Indianapolis, and Kathy Vandine and her fiancé Eric of Marion; 10 grandchildren; one brother Ron (Shirley) Loos of New Palestine. Mrs. Brooks was a 1970 graduate of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. She was a homemaker, and a former employee of Kelley's Greenhouse in North Vernon and the Versailles State Park. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5 at 2pm at the Benham United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Benham Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 1pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Benham United Methodist Church or the Benham Cemetery in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
