Clara Marie Schroder

Clara Marie Schroder, 94, of Osgood, passed away Thursday March 10, 2005 at the Manderly Nursing Home in Osgood. She was born at Rising Sun, Indiana on January 20, 1911 the daughter of Jowell and Mary L. Gentry Rice. She was married to William J. Schroder in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1975. Survivors include one brother Hartsell Rice of Osgood, one niece Mary Rice of Indianapolis, one nephew, Robert Rice of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Gentry Rice, one nephew Don Rice. Mrs. Schroder was a social worker for the Dearborn and Ohio Counties Welfare Department and a member of the Rising Sun United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Rob Rixman of the Osgood United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fink's Cemetery near Osgood. Memorials may be given to the Osgood United Methodist Church or the St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Fink's Corner in care of the funeral home.
