Clayton R. Day, 59, of Versailles passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his home. He was born in Milan on April 16, 1953 the son of Harlan and Effie Jones Day.
Survivors include two daughters Amber (William) Moore of Franklin and Angela Minton of Shelbyville; 2 grandchildren; one sister Becky (Jerry) Hunteman of North Vernon; one brother Norman (Brenda) Day of Osgood. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Dexter, Wendell, and Denver, and his twin brother Clinton.
Mr. Day was a 1972 graduate of South Ripley High School. He was employed as a custodian for the Manderley Health Care Center and also Buckeye Village, both in Osgood. Clayton was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 1 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Dale Day and Chris Hunteman officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Cemetery or the Bethany Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
