Clint E. Watson, 92, of Columbus, formerly of Osgood passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Columbus Health and Rehab Center. He was born at Madisonville in Hopkins County, Kentucky on November 5, 1918 the son of Jeff and Ruth Rushing Watson. He was married to Leona Spencer on August 21, 1940 and his wife of 70 years survives. Other survivors include one daughter Phyllis Johnson of Columbus; three sons Clark (Franka) Watson of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Paul (Karen) Watson of Dillsboro, and Norman (Karen) Watson of Pell City, Alabama; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; one brother John (Esther) Watson of Zephyr Hills, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, and his brothers Clyde, Clifton, Jay, Joe, and Arnold Watson and his sister Catherine Tidwell. Mr. Watson was an electrician and had been employed with the Southeastern Indiana REMC and retired from the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center.
Clint was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Versailles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Carter Corbrey officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the First Southern Baptist Church or the Seeing Eye Dog Charity.
