Colleen L. Pinkerton, 76, of Versailles passed away Friday, September 26 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at Lewiston, Utah on October 14, 1926, the daughter of Lewis and Ruth Hollingsworth Lloyd. She was married to Weaver Pinkerton on June 5, 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Pinkerton was retired from the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center where she worked as an attendant for 14 years. She was a veteran of the Air Force and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Batesville.
She is survived by four sons, Lloyd Pinkerton and his wife Carmen of Houston, Texas, Tom Pinkerton of Greensburg, Wayne Pinkerton of Florida, and Wade Pinkerton and his wife Christina of Rexville; four daughters, Nancy Downey and her husband Ron of Holton, Debbie Geisler and her husband Bernard of Rexville, Pam McQueen and her husband Steve of Holton, and Tina Doolin and her husband Jim of Franklin, North Carolina; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30 at 11am at the Stratton Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bishop Marshall Dahneke officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 29 from 5pm to 8pm. Burial will be in the Veteran Memorial Park at Bay Pines, Florida. Memorials may be given to the Rock Garden fund of the Manderley Health Care Center.
