Creola Ketzendorf, 101, of Mooresville, formerly of New Marion passed away Monday at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born near New Marion on January 23, 1901 the daughter of William and Flora Jeffries Swinney. She was married to Charles Ketzendorf on March 21, 1922 and he preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Ketzendorf is survived by two daughters; Viola Ruth Smiley of Mooresville and Mary Elizabeth Bray of Beech Grove; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Dorothy May of Osgood. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Earnest Carl, sister Zelpha Baurley, and her brothers Culver, Herschel, Russell, Cecil, Adrian, and Clifford Swinney. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Marion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 31 at 11am at the New Marion Baptist Church with Rev. James Goble officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Calling will be Wednesday October 30, 2002 from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Baptist Church or the Holton Cemetery.
