Dale F. Mcgee

Dale F. McGee, 80, of Friendship, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at the Dearborn County Hospital. Mr. McGee was born near Cross Plains on April 29, 1922, the son of Roy and Grace Jackson McGee. He was married to Ilene Harting on October 22, 1949 and she survives. Other survivors include one son, Kenneth McGee and his wife Judy of Cross Plains; one grandson, Kevin McGee and his wife Danielle of Pleasant; one sister, Mabel Chandler of Cross Plains. Mr. McGee was a farmer and was the head of camping at the NMLRA in Friendship for 35 years having retired in 1998. He was a 1940 graduate of Cross Plains High School and was a retired member of the Friendship Fire Department and was also a member of the Madison Moose Lodge. Visitation will be Friday, February 21 from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22 at 10:30am at the funeral home with Rev. Sherman Hughes of the Bear Creek Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro. Memorials may be given to the Friendship Fire Department.
