Dallas E. Henneke, 85, of Osgood, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2003 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was born near Napoleon on June 7, 1918, the son of Harry and Viola Rimstidt Henneke. He was married to Margaret Carroll on October 18, 1938 and she survives. Other survivors include one son, Carroll Henneke and his wife Josie and one daughter, Audra Gilmer and her husband Spence (Butch) all of Indianapolis; three granddaughters, Shannon Milam and Autumn Roush both of Indianapolis, and Stacy Malone of Lakewood, Colorado; one grandson, Tyler Henneke of Winter Haven, Florida; one great-grandson, Cameron Milam; three sisters, Beverly Straber of Indianapolis, Donna Ricketts of Osgood, and Patricia Griffin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles and sisters Georgia Gatlin and Virginia Kirch. Mr. Henneke was a 1935 graduate of Napoleon High School and was a charter member of the Osgood Moose Lodge. He was a farmer and operated a State Farm Insurance Agency in Osgood for several years. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 1 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Garland Rudd of the Cedar Creek Community Church officiating. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 31 from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Foundation or to Rescue 69.
