Daniel H. Fischer, 49, of Versailles passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. He was born at Lawrenceburg on October 27, 1961 the son of Ralph and Loa McCauley Fischer. He was married to Carol Rosebrock on April 16, 2005 and she survives. Other survivors include one son Gary (Emily) Fischer of Patriot; two daughters Amber Fischer of Aurora and Anna Rose Browning of Versailles; step-children Stephen Huntington II of Osgood and Breanna Huntington of Versailles; 3 step-grandchildren; his father and mother-in-law Jim and Clarris Rosebrock of Versailles; two brothers Jack (Irene) Fischer of Greendale and Charles (Jane) Fischer of Aurora; one sister Ann (Donald) Edwards of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Danny was a 1979 graduate of South Ripley High School. He was a diesel mechanic for Edwards Towing in Versailles and had worked for Stutler Paving in Milan. His other places of employment included the Whispering Pines pay lake, Southeastern Rural Telephone, and he had tended bar at the Drake Lounge in Madison. He was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14 at 11am at the Bear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sherman Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Akers Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to the church of St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Dewberry in care of the funeral home.
