Darlene Holman

**Darlene Holman**, 64, of New Marion passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana at Columbus. She was born at Knightstown, Indiana on September 13, 1943 the daughter of Truman and Amelia Geisler Holman. Survivors include one son Mike Holman and his wife Becky of Versailles; daughter Tammy Holman and her companion Andy Shelton of New Marion; grandchildren Jessilyn Pickett, Blaine, and Anthony Holman; brothers Harry (Bernadette) Holman, Roy (Vickie) Holman both of Versailles, and Lester Holman of New Marion; sisters Dina (Vernon) Herbert, Brenda Holman both of Milhousen, and Myrtie (Frank) Franklin of Holton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ms. Holman was a 1962 graduate of New Marion High School and a 30 year employee of US Shoe. She was recently employed with Gecom at Greensburg. She was a member of the West Fork Baptist Church. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting and fishing with her brother Lester. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4 at 11am at the West Fork Baptist Church with Rev. David Blazier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Decatur County Hospice or the West Fork Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
