Darlene Vankirk

Darlene Vankirk, 72, of Napoleon passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Kindred Hospital in Greenwood. She was born at Batesville on June 23, 1937 the daughter of John and Eleanor Ollier Kreuzman. She was married to Garold Vankirk on August 11, 1956 and he survives. Other survivors include two sons Bill (Jane Ann) Vankirk and Bob (Mouse) (Tena) Vankirk both of Napoleon; one daughter Kathy (Brian) Samples of Napoleon; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bill, John, and Paul Kreuzman. Mrs. Vankirk was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 5 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Father Rob Hankee officiating. Burial will be in the St. Maurice Cemetery at Napoleon. Visitation will be Sunday from 6pm to 9pm. Memorials may be given to the Napoleon Fire Department or the St. Maurice Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
