Donald Morrison, 74, of Versailles passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Waters of Clifty Falls at Madison. He was born in Milan on May 24, 1938 the son of Earl and Hazel Demaree Morrison. Survivors include two sisters Irene Youngblood and Evelyn Jean Bush both of Madison; one brother Larry Wayne Morrison of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Lois Wooten and Ruth Tucker. Mr. Morrison was an Army veteran, a member of the NRA, and the Madison American Legion Post #9. Donald had been employed with Grote Manufacturing in Madison, was a former school bus driver for the South Ripley Schools, and retired from Thomas and Skinner in Osgood in 2002. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home with Dale Day of the Versailles Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery near Versailles with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post #9 at Madison. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Foundation or the Shelby Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
