Donn A. Snedaker, 54, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at his home. He was born at Batesville on May 28, 1955 the son of Harold and Wilma Lehman Snedaker. Survivors include his mother Wilma Snedaker of Versailles; two sisters Sarita (Walter) Kamman of Holton and Barbara (Kenny) Myers of Versailles; one niece Courtney (Mike) Hughes of Osgood; three nephews Brian (BJ) Myers of Versailles, Wayne Wall of Osgood, and Travis Wall of Versailles; three great-nephews and eight great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother Leslie Snedaker. Mr. Snedaker was a 1973 graduate of South Ripley High School. He received his BS degree and Master's degree from Ball State University in elementary education and elementary administration. He had been a 32 year employee of the Jac-Cen-Del School Corporation where he taught and served as the assistant principal of the Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School for the last seven years. He was also the resource person for the corporation in special education, served on the school improvement planning committee, school task force, gifted and talented committee, and the elementary and high school special education core committee. He also supervised many athletic and academic activities. He was a member of the Shelby Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Shelby Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Jac-Cen-Del Scholarship Fund in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
