Doris Faye Geisler

Doris Faye Geisler, 91, of Rexville passed away Tuesday, February 07, 2006 at her residence. She was born near Bryantsburg on July 8, 1914 the daughter of Arthur and Lula Adams Housefield. She was married to Alva Geisler and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1994. She is survived by six sons, Leslie Geisler of North Vernon, Elvan Geisler and his wife Barbara, Roy Geisler, Bernard Geisler and his wife Debbie all of Madison, Bobby Geisler and his wife Aggie of Washington, and Marvin Geisler and his wife Teresa of Vevay; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren; one sister Peggy Ruse of Rexville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Alvin, grandchildren Kenneth and Carolyn Geisler, her brother Merle Housefield, and her sister Louise Farrell. Mrs. Geisler was a homemaker and had been a member of the Liberty Christian Church since 1930. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9 at 11am at the West Fork Baptist Church with Logan Fugate officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm and will also be at the West Fork Baptist Church. Memorials may be given to the West Fork Cemetery. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home of Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
