Dorothea Curry Cromer, 82, of Osgood passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Hospital in Carmel. She was born near Versailles on November 16, 1922 the daughter of Clyde and Mabel Armstrong Curry. She was married to C. Tom Cromer and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters Carolyn Brown and her husband William of Greensburg and Patricia Coker of Bushnell, Florida; four grandchildren Barry Brown of Lawrenceburg, Terri Evans of Greensburg, Dena Vaughn of Butlerville, and Mark Hayden of North Vernon; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother Robert Curry of North Vernon; one sister Jo Westmeyer of Versailles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Curtis Hayden, brother Halstead Curry, and her sisters Isabelle Heidorn and Clara Belle Vestal.
Mrs. Cromer worked at Ma Curry's Restaurant in Versailles and retired from US Shoe in Osgood. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 5 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Charles Wilfong officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Monday from 12pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund or the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
