Dorothy Eaton Bruce

**Dorothy Eaton Bruce**, 83, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. She was born at Milan on June 26, 1931 the daughter of Walter and Florence Peaslee Clarkson. She was married to Jerry Eaton on November 3, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1965. She was then married to Virgil Bruce on March 16, 1972 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1973. Survivors include two daughters Rowena Eaton of Indianapolis and Jackie Meadows of Letts; three sons Jim (Sue Ellen) Eaton of Madison, Frank (Becky) Eaton, and John Eaton both of Versailles; grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; one sister Violet Vanosdol of Benham. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Bruce attended the Friendship and Cross Plains schools and was a 1951 graduate of Versailles High School. She was employed with the White Pine Restaurant in Versailles, Joseph Seagram in Lawrenceburg, Muscatatuck State Developmental Center at Butlerville, Reliance Electric in Madison, and retired in 1995 after 23 years with Delta Faucet in Greensburg. Dorothy was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
