**Dorothy Cole**, 93, of New Marion passed away at 11:48pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her home. She was born in Naughton Glen, Alberta, Canada on July 27, 1921 the daughter of John and Domna Palamuk Marion. She was married to Everett Cole on April 3, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1995. Survivors include five sons Kenneth (Judy) Cole of Osgood, Paul (Kim) Cole of Eminence, Kentucky, Bob Cole and Randy Cole both of New Marion, and Wendell (Becky) Cole of Versailles; five daughters Brenda (Jim) Smith, and Beverly (Fred) Holler both of New Marion, Barbara (Richard) Shadday of Rexville, Teresa Mason of Corbin, Kentucky, and Lori Rudolf of Versailles; daughter-in-law Sandy Cole of Bardstown, Kentucky; 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sons Doug Cole and James Cole, son-in-law Jerry Mason, her brothers William, Alec, Michael, and Harry, and her sisters Pearl, Kim, Ann, and Mary. Mrs. Cole was a former employee of Bob Aikins Farms in Osgood. She had also worked as a laundry manager for the Edson Hotel in Alberta Canada and was employed with Camp Calumet in the Northwest Territory. Dorothy was a 50 plus year member of the New Marion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30 at 11am at the New Marion Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Carter officiating. Burial will be in the New Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
