**Dorothy J. Kimball**, 85, of Holton passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Waters of Batesville. She was born near Holton on December 10, 1926 the daughter of Elbridge and Erma Pratt Hammon. She was married to Robert Kimball on February 3, 1946 and he preceded her in death August 22, 2010. Survivors include four sons David (Pam) Kimball of Post Falls, Idaho, Barry (Darlene) Kimball of Bethel, Ohio, Jerry Kimball of Carpentersville, Illinois, and Robert (Sherlyn) Kimball of Greensburg; one daughter Barbara (Frank) Ferraro of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Frank (Loretta) Hammon of Bright. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Rufus, Norman, and John Hammon, and her sisters Dolores Hammon, Edith Hammon, Blanche Ross, Mabeth DeBurger, June Hansen, and Lucille Schlotman. Mrs. Kimball was a 1944 graduate of Holton High School and was a member of the Dabney Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Conn Organ in Greensburg. Dorothy was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Osgood, the Osgood-Versailles chapter of the Eastern Star, and had served as a cub scout den mother. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16 at 10am at the Dabney Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Dabney Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 9am until time of services Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army or the Dabney Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
