Dorothy Jean Sheets

Dorothy Jean Sheets, 79, of Versailles passed away Wednesday, May 03, 2006 at the Ross Manor in Dillsboro. She was born near Versailles on August 21, 1926. She was married to Ralph Sheets and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1965. Survivors include one son Kenneth Sheets and his wife Norma of Versailles, one daughter Jennifer Rolf and her husband Tony of Versailles; six grandchildren, Kendall Sheets, Eric Sheets, Ryan Sheets, Tonya White, Tabatha Rolf, and Tony Rolf II, and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her mother Nina Ernestine Brindley. Mrs. Sheets was retired from the Jay C Food Store in Osgood where she worked as a cashier for 26 years. She was also a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Michael Hendrix of the Tyson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Friday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Cancer fund or the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
