Dortha A. Warfield, 90, of Cincinnati passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Twin Towers Community in Cincinnati. She was born at Correct on August 3, 1918 the daughter of Julius and Josie Bovard Warfield. Survivors include her sister-in-law Lucille Warfield of Correct; two nephews, Robert (Marge) Underwood and Tom (Lois) Warfield both of Correct; two nieces, Norma Lee (William) Hill of Versailles and Rebecca (Charles) Rogers of Carmel; also several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Carl Warfield, and her sister Beulah Underwood. Miss Warfield was a 1936 graduate of Versailles High School. She worked as a comptometer for 41 years at the William Powell Valve Company on Spring Grove Avenue in Cincinnati. She was a member of the Walnut Hills Avondale Methodist Church and the Rosey Reds, a ladies group of Cincinnati Reds fans. She was also a supporter of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Ann Luzader officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
