Doug Denny

Doug Denny, 58, of Cross Plains passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his home. He was born in Milan on December 10, 1955 the son of Charles and Phyllis Schwartz Denny. Survivors include his father and step-mother Charles and Joyce Denny of Cross Plains; two daughters Salina (Joshua) Smith of Chicago and Brittany (Phillip) Woodruff of Jeffersonville; one son Cody (Tasha) Denny of Jeffersonville; 5 grandchildren; one brother Greg (Jackie) Denny of Cross Plains; his twin sister Donna (Ralph) Stenger of Cross Plains and his sister Beth Laswell of Dupont. He was preceded in death by his mother and his son Kyran Douglas Denny. Mr. Denny was a 1974 graduate of South Ripley High School. He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Denny Transport in Jeffersonville. A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Saturday, September 13 from 11am to 3pm at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 4900 W Luther Road in Floyds Knobs, Indiana with the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles in charge of arrangements.
