Elberta "Bertie" Myers, 65, of Osgood passed away Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born near Elrod on August 17, 1938, the daughter of Elbert and Allie Pulley Farmer. She was married to Charles Myers on July 22, 1965 and he survives. Other survivors include one son, Allen McIntosh and his wife Vickie of Brookville; three daughters, Lori Ann Sturgeon and her husband Kevin of Osgood, Debra Kay Gregory and Leonard of Fortville, and Sarah Chemo and Mark of Roan Mountain, Tennessee; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Ward of Southport and Faye Belew of Lawrenceburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Albert Farmer and her sister Dorothy East. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and a member of the Versailles Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31 at 11am at the Versailles Church of Christ with Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30 from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Church of Christ.
